Bulk Cargo

Bulk cargo is a shipping term that refers to items that are shipped loosely and
unpackaged in large quantities. If a shipping item is not placed in a container or is
not secured on a vessel, this item will be referred to as bulk cargo.
These types of items are usually transported in bags or barrels and can range from
liquid to dry items. Examples of bulk cargo can be cement, oil, coal, or even sand.
