Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF)

The Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) is an extra charge on the shipper to
compensate for fluctuations in the price of the ship's fuel. The BAF is charged by
the freight carrier and periodically changes to smooth the effects of rising fuel
prices on the carrier.
