Blind shipping occurs when the shipment receiver is unaware of the shipper or the
origin of the shipment.
Blind shipping is usually requested by distributors that want to avoid going
through any additional distribution channels and want to have their goods shipped
directly to the retailer.
It is referred to as a ‘blind’ shipment because if a product was shipped by a third
party, it conceals this third-party vendor and removes the information from the
shipping label.
